Breakfast Teaching: FIRST 2008: The Action Of First with Pastor Robert Morris
Though it has been several days since my last guitar practice, I am still improving on Star Catcher.
My work schedule the next few weeks has me a little concerned. Next Tuesday I start six straight days, though they are the same shift at this point. Then I have two off, one on, and two off; then ten straight days and different shifts (12-8, 2:30-10:30, 9-5, all day shifts). By GOD’s Grace I will get through it.
Today I have been focused on: I love the LORD my GOD with all my heart, with all my soul, with all my mind, and with all my strength.
I wonder what would happen if I made this my constant meditation for a day, or a week, or a month. Psalm 1 tells us, “Blessed is the man. . . but his delight is in the Law of the LORD, and in His Law does he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth his fruit in his season, his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he does shall prosper.” Is this not worth making the First and Greatest Commandment of the Kingdom of GOD my meditation for a day, a week, or a month? We shall see.
