Last night I seemed to wake up nearly every hour for some reason; I just couldn’t seem to stay asleep. I have had a lot on my mind lately, and I really need to get to the point where I can go back to work; even if it is only a couple hours a day to start, then build up from there.
About a week ago a gal on Facebook asked me why it took me so long to go to the hospital and get medical help. I gave her a short answer, but earlier today I wrote a more complete answer that I hope will help people at:
Then I went for my daily walk at the Portage Walmart. I would have gone to Haven Hallow Park, but at 50 degrees with high winds it was a bit cool for me. Without the wind I think I would have chosen the park with the fresh air. Today I upped my walking time to 40 minutes from the previous 30. This took me around the main aisles of Walmart 4 times. I was feeling it the last time around with decreasing energy. I also felt it when I got home. No pain mind you, I could just tell my legs had to push a little to get the increased walking done; without a cart, by the way. Tomorrow is supposed to be less windy here and in the mid to upper 50’s, maybe 60; good walking outdoors weather.
I called the doctor in La Porte today. One of the medical assistants is supposed to get my back to work form filled out. I gave it to her last week Wednesday. So far it is done accept the part the doctor has to finish up. She was responsible for filling a good bit of it out, as I understand. She said these things take a few days, but today was day 5 that they had the form (business day 5). I need to have this dealt with by this Friday for FMLA because my current FMLA ends on October 27, which is this coming Sunday. The doctor’s office is supposed to fax a copy to the Family Express HR department and mail a copy to me. It would be really nice to know if I will be able to go back to work on some limited basis, or if I need to apply for an FMLA extension. I would really like to go back to work, even if for only a couple hours a day to start.
Thank you for reading my blog today.
Be most blessed!
