I am a bit apprehensive about today. I am working my first training shift, of three. I have never worked in this kind of setting before. There is a lot more that goes into running a convenience store than you would suspect. I want to do very well, and by the end of my probation time begin to excel. This is a great opportunity for me. I will need to rely upon Holy Spirit a lot to help me do this right.
Goal one is to learn my job; two is to last through probation; three is to learn all four shifts (close, mid-nights, mid-days, and open); four is to get to 36-40 hours per week, five is to excel at what I do and work at (help at) a number of different stores. Eventually I will need to learn Cravin’s food prep. Once these five goals are met, I will need to become a a senior sales associate, then an associate manager, then a store manager, then a field consultant.
