I believe our Abba Father has called me to begin to stir up my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus in whose hearts this message rings true. We are not called to just walk through this life hoping to get by until we die or until our LORD Jesus Christ returns. We are taught by our LORD Jesus Christ to pray to Abba Father, “Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” We are also taught by our LORD Jesus Christ that “the Kingdom of GOD is within you.”
The Kingdom of our Abba Father, the King of all existence, resides within each one of us who is born again, and it is our responsibility to carry and represent this Supremely Royal Kingdom to the world in which we live.
I believe Abba Father has called me to encourage, and lead by example, the change of this world. There are many others called to do so in different ways, but this is the way I believe I was called to do so.
I submit to you for your prayer and consideration to dedicate the first day of each month, starting with July 1, 2019, to the following:
1. On the first of each month we will pray for the Kingdom of GOD, our Abba Father to increase in a specific area of our lives and our influence.
2. On the first of each month we will fast. It does not matter if this fast is of all food and/or drink, some food and/or drink, particular food, TV programs, or other activities. The idea of this fast is to say “NO” to some pleasure we enjoy in the flesh and to replace that time we are saying “NO” to the flesh with a little more “YES” to our Abba Father; in whichever way Holy Spirit leads each individual person.
3. On the first day of each month we will give. I recommend for those in the United States to start with somewhere between $10 and two hours of wages (which for me will be $22.00). If you live in a different country, then I would like to encourage you to do the equivalent for your monetary system. What we will do is send $5 or one hour’s wage to a local food pantry. If we find ourselves doing this in with a group of people, then the people could pool together and give this money to a specific poor and needy family in the form of groceries, or just as a monetary gift or gift card to the local grocery store. Giving anonymously would be best. With the other $5 or hour’s wage, we put that amount in cash inside a sealed envelope that has only “Because LORD Jesus Loves You” written on the outside, and ask Holy Spirit whom we should give it to as we go through our day. It could be given above and beyond our regular tip at a restaurant, or go to somebody in the restaurant anonymously to pay for their meal. It could go to the person pushing carts back into the grocery store. It could go to someone at work, or a customer of the place we are working at. It could go to a neighbor, or somebody we pass by on the street or in a store. It could go to someone destitute, or it could go to someone who looks like they are wealthy. No matter who it is, it will be a blessing to them. Just hand it to them, or have your child hand it to them, and quietly walk away.
4. On the first day of each month we will be a little more attentive to the way we speak to and treat other people. We will refrain from speaking negative (which in truth is cursing [which is different from cussing], speaking that which is less than our Father in Heaven has created a person for), and we will purposely bless those we meet throughout the day; we will purposely speak blessing into and over their lives. We will exercise kindness, patience, love, peace, joy, mercy, grace, etc. If we hear someone complaining, we will listen, and then we will offer to pray with them right there on the spot. Listen to “Let Us Pray” by Steven Curtis Chapman enough and you won’t be able to stop yourself. It does not have to be a long prayer, but a simple prayer according to the current level of your own faith for Abba Father to move in their life and show His Great Love for them and for Abba Father to meet their need right where they are at. You will be surprised how often, if you will just hold your hands out and say, “Can I pray for you? Right now?”, how often people will automatically reach for your hands before they realize what they are doing. Just the act of taking time to pray a simple prayer shows kindness, compassion, and love; and is usually encouraging to those for whom we pray.
A few days ago on Facebook I posted that I believed Abba Father had shown me what I am called to do. This may not be the calling in its totality, but this is at least the beginning of it. In the past people have said they would join me in my journey to become a living example of the heart and love of our Abba Father. Will you join me still? There are a few people on each of the six inhabited continents of this planet who read my posts, so this could begin as a very tiny yet worldwide movement on day one.
One other thing I will ask of everyone. Psalm 1:2 tells us that the “Blessed man” (blessed person) is one who meditates upon His Law (His WORD) day and night. Each month I will submit for your consideration one small part of the Law (the WORD) of our Abba Father to meditate upon and pray to make an integral part of our own lives so that we each will become lights shining brightly in the darkness of this world; and that we will become so blessed–spirit, soul, and body–that we will become an overflow of blessing to those we meet each day, often without our conscious effort because of the WORD and LOVE Of GOD growing in us and shining through us.
