This may sound trite, simplistic, or foolish, but it is indeed true: The answer to all our problems is the same.
Many “learned intellectuals” among us may claim, life is more complicated than that. Many non-intellectuals may claim, life just is not that easy or straightforward. Many religious “Christians” among us may claim you just don’t understand how difficult life is or how GOD works.
I have found in my own life, missing this for so long–much to my dismay, that the Truth of the WORD Of GOD is quite simple; however, in our prideful, arrogant, rebellious search to justify ourselves we make up all kinds of “good sounding religious reasons” to ignore the simple Truth of the WORD Of GOD. We do so at our own peril, and we deserve what we get as a result.
The simple, unassailable Truth IS: The answer to all our problems is the same. And this answer starts with the following Holy Scripture:
Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Speaking of the LORD GOD Almighty, our Abba Father will keep every person in perfect peace who keeps their mind stayed (permanently fixed) upon Him. The person who keeps his (her) mind stayed (permanently fixed) on Abba Father because we trust Him; and because we trust Him, we are in perfect peace.
Nobody has a perfect earthly father, and even the very best earthly father fails at times. However, Almighty GOD, our Creator and Abba Father IS The Perfect Father; and He Never Fails. Remember, GOD IS LOVEi and LOVE never failsii.
So how does this apply to every problem that we face? Consider the following questions:
- Who has all wisdom, knowledge, and understanding?
- Who knows all there is to know about everything there is to know?
- Who has the power to enact every answer to every problem?
- Whose every promise is “yes” and “amen” in Christ Jesus?
A few years ago, Isaiah 26:3 came to mind and I started applying it. I began developing what I now call my Daily Recitation. I began catching myself getting overwhelmed by thoughts of various problems, so I started refusing the problems and would obey the Holy Scripture (1 Peter 5:6-7) “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” I would simply confess to GOD that the problems are more than I have the strength, wisdom, knowledge, or understanding to overcome of myself and that I would place them in His Hands and leave them there; and that I would trust Him to lead me through whatever I needed to walk through to overcome. Then, I would focus my attention on GOD, often by focusing on His WORD, especially using my Daily Recitation, or thanksgiving, praise, and worship. This was difficult at first, and I often had to repent of picking the problem back up and taking it back out of GOD’s Hands; I am still not perfected (completely matured) in this practice of keeping my focus on and trust in Abba Father, but I am definitely getting better at it; sometimes to the point of frustrating others who do not understand why I refuse to worry or be concerned about things that are “so important”. But consider this, if they are “so important”, then who is best qualified to deal with them, me or GOD? Personally, I believe GOD is so much better qualified to deal with all my problems and to lead me through where and how He wants me to go to get to the victory that I don’t even rate a speck in the comparison.
So I ask you, do you want to continue being overwhelmed by the myriad of problems you face? Do you want to spend your entire life fighting every battle that comes your way just to be attacked again when you thought you were finally getting victory? Do you want to spend all of your life being oppressed and depressed and endlessly seeming to fight continuous losing battles?
Or, do you want the Perfect Peace that Almighty GOD IS? For He is Yehovah Shalom; LORD Jesus IS The Prince Of Peace; Holy Spirit IS The Spirit Of Peace; The Kingdom Of GOD IS righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
What we focus on is what we will have. Will we focus on problem after problem? Or will we focus on Almighty GOD and His WORD, allowing Him to rule and reign in our hearts; establishing His Kingdom within us.
This is a life changing decision. What will you decide?
