Every Day Is A Good Day

In my opinion, every day is a good day.

Every one of us is created to be, to exist as, to live as, the image and likeness of Almighty GOD. Every day is created by Almighty GOD to be a day for us to walk with Him, to talk with Him, to grow closer to Him; and to walk, talk, and grow closer to each other. Every day.

The problem, as I understand it, is that we have been born into a corrupted and fallen world, educated by a corrupted and fallen world, and trained by a corrupted and fallen world, all to the end of thinking, believing, talking, and behaving according to the ways of this fallen world; thus, knowingly or not, Christian or non-Christian, trained (brainwashed) to serve the god of this world, the enemy and adversary of our souls, Satan.

We must renew our minds (by the washing of the Water of the WORD) to the Ways of our Heavenly Father. We must learn to think His Thoughts, to reason His Way, and to live according to the Laws of His Kingdom; the Kingdom of which we are to seek first, above and before all else, and His Righteousness. We must stop attempting to do things according to our own reasoning and start doing things according to His Reasoning.

People may say in protest, “But GOD’s Ways are higher than our ways, and GOD’s thoughts are higher than our thoughts.”

Why do you think this is true? Could it be because we have been lazy, disobedient, rebellious children who refuse the counsel of our Abba Father?

Does not Holy Scripture also say:

1 Corinthians 2:6-16 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Let me politely ask you, Whose thoughts do you think the mind of Christ thinks? Does the mind of Christ think the Devil’s thoughts? Does the mind of Christ think the thoughts of fallen man that are so much lower than the thoughts of Almighty GOD? Could it be that the mind of Christ thinks the thoughts of Almighty GOD, being our LORD Jesus Christ IS The WORD Of GOD made flesh; and is Himself GOD, seated at the right hand of our Father in Heaven?

This is why I believe the first two verses of Psalm 1 are so very important to us today.

Psalms 1:1-2 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

The Law of the LORD is the teachings and precepts of the LORD GOD Almighty; the very Laws and Principles by which His Kingdom operates, according to which we are commanded to live.

Are Almighty GOD’s thoughts higher than our thoughts? Yes, they are. But they are not intended to remain so. We are intended to learn our Father’s thoughts from Holy Spirit by the access we have been given through the sacrifice of our LORD Jesus Christ to His Mind, the Mind of Christ. Thus taking Almighty GOD’s thoughts as our very own that we may truly be His Image and His Likeness upon this earth as He originally created us to be.

The next biggest excuse, and yes, it is an excuse and not a valid reason, is that the world is so very dark.

Have we not read in Holy Scripture:

James 1:17-18 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. 18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

Consider this, what is darkness other than the absence of light? Whenever light is introduced into darkness, light prevails. Step into a completely dark room, and turn on the light switch (presuming the electricity and light bulbs work) and what happens? Light instantly fills the room and darkness is gone from everywhere the light can reach and is not blocked.

As born again Christians such are the children of the Father of lights; we are the lights that Almighty GOD, the Father of lights, are the Father of. We are lights walking around in a dark world that needs the Light of our LORD Jesus Christ within us. If we notice we are in a dark place, we should not complain about the darkness of the world, we should let the Light of our LORD Jesus Christ shine from within us and dispel the darkness.

So, why do I say every day is a good day? Because everything our Abba Father created in its original form He called good. Though we have corrupted all of creation by our sin, our LORD Jesus Christ won back the right by redeeming us and all creation with His Sacrifice of His Life; and He didn’t stop there, but He then told us that all power had been given unto Him, and then He commanded that we go in His Name and do everything He did and commanded, and to teach everyone to do the same.

Every day IS a good day, because it is a day that the LORD our GOD has made. We not only should, but we MUST rejoice and be glad in it. We may not think it is a good day, but that is only because we are not thinking with the Mind the LORD our GOD has given us, the Mind of Christ. Every day is a good day, with goodness in it. If we cannot see the goodness in it, then maybe we have forgotten, we are the ones responsible for bringing Almighty GOD’s Goodness everywhere we go, and for freely giving GOD’s Goodness to everyone we meet. Every day is filled with living in Almighty GOD’s creation, and filled with opportunities for us to be the Images and Likenesses of Almighty GOD to a fallen world. Please, tell me, how can this not be good?

Every day is a day for us to overcome darkness wherever we are. It may be overcoming darkness in our own lives, it may be overcoming darkness in the life of another whom we meet that day. The LORD our GOD made every day so that we could grow closer to Him, closer to each other, and overcome darkness so that even more people, the precious treasures Abba Father created them to be (even if they don’t resemble this at the moment) can be returned to His Kingdom, His Light, and His Glory; to the condition that Almighty GOD originally created them to be, originally created us all to be.

Please, tell me, how can any day not be a good day when this is part and parcel of what our lives are to be?

Psalm 118:24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Will you rejoice and be glad in today with me?

All Holy Scripture is given in the King James Version, 1769. Bold Emphasis is added.
