Almighty GOD made promises to His people, and we must remember:
2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
So, once we people of GOD which are called by His Name humble ourselves, pray, seek His Face, and turn from our wicked ways, Almighty GOD, our Abba Father promises to:
1. Hear from heaven.
2. Forgive our sin.
3. Heal our land.
Since all the promises of GOD are yes and amen in Christ Jesus our LORD, then why do we “Christians” spend so much time complaining about our government, complaining about how bad our country has gotten, complaining about the various generations that seem more lost than ever, complaining about “churches” that aren’t the way we think they should be, complaining about other Christians, complaining about our neighbors, complaining about our jobs, complaining about our families, complaining, complaining, complaining…
That is complaining about everyone and every thing other than that which we are responsible for? What are we responsible for?
1. Humbling ourselves.
2. Praying (judging ourselves and our own sin) in confession and true repentance with a humble and contrite heart.
3. Seeking the Face of Almighty GOD, our Abba Father.
4. Turning from our wicked ways to The Way, The Truth, and The Life WHO IS The LORD Jesus Christ and living according to His Perfect Example.
Let us stop being so concerned about the splinter in our brother’s eye, and start dealing with the numerous logs in our own eyes. Then and only then will we see Abba Father keep His WORD, His Promises to us.
Do we want Abba Father to hear us? Do we want Abba Father to forgive our sin? Do we want Abba Father to heal this wonderful and blessed land in which we live? Then let us do our part so that Abba Father has the legal right on this earth to do His Part.
NOTE: Holy Scripture is given in the King James Version, 1769.
